The Dagny ceiling fan is a double-headed rotational ceiling fan which circulates air while rotating on it's central axis. The Matthews Fan Company Dagny fan offers 3 speed options with the highest speed pushing a powerful CFM of 4168. The fan heads can be manually moved up or down to control the airflow direction and also to increase or decrease the axial rotation; the greater the angles of the motors to the horizontal support rods , the faster the rotation. A slow, controlled axial rotation is achieved by both fan head position and fan blade speed . In addition to it's commanding airflow, the Matthews Dagny fan efficiently circulates air-conditioning during the summer and heat during the winter using the reverse option on the remote control.

Question How much ceiling slope will work ?
Answer
This fan can work on a slope of up to 24 degrees. More than that would require an adapter
Question Can the included 10" downrod be cut to a shorter length?
Answer
Yes, the downrod is non-threaded and can be cut.
Question Can the Dagny Dual Ceiling fans be rebuilt when they wear out to some degree or can replacement parts be ordered. Is there a service center for them in Ohio?
Answer The manufacturer does supply spare parts for replacements .If there is ever an issue or a part needs to be replaced we can definitely ship them to your address.
Question How does this hold up in high wind storms
Answer Hmm that would really depend on how high the winds are, obviously in extremely severe weather conditions anything can come apart. But assuming you mean typical high winds on very windy days, it should be fine assuming it is installed correctly. The Matthews Fans are very high quality and the Dagny Ceiling Fan is constructed of cast aluminum and heavy stamped steel.
Question I would like to use the fan to circulate a/c and heat. Does the Dagny Dual Head Ceiling Fan fan reverse? Also, why is this fan so much less expensive than the Duplo and the Venta?
Answer
The blade fan heads on the Dagny fan will always spin clockwise. They can not spin counter clockwise. However, when both fan heads are facing downwards to the ground, the entire fan will rotate clockwise. When both fan heads are facing upwards toward the ceiling, the fan will rotate counter clockwise.
The Dagny is less in price than the Dual Matthews Gerbar fans because the Dagny is mass manufactured in China, and the Matthews Gerbar fans are Hand crafted in Brazil. Mostly the Matthews Gerbar fans are on a “made to order” process. We do not have large quantities of them in stock.
Question Can the Dagny Ceiling Fan be locked out so it won’t rotate
Answer The rotation can be controlled by adjusting the angle of the fan heads. The greater the angle the faster the rotation, i.e when the fan heads face down the rotation will be fastest and when the face directly outward it won't rotate at all. However there is no setting to turn off the rotation completely.
